The core function of this position is to provide online community management support for The Western Journal. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail, experience in customer service and meticulous work ethic. This position will report to the Director of Publishing Operations at The Western Journal. The story, values and mission of Liftable Media may be found on our about page.   • Growing the community engagement on The Western Journal
  • Maintaining and updating the homepage and various custom landing pages
  • Respond to emails and messages on various social media pages
  • Respond to comments, curating article asks, and publishing broadcast alerts on Western Journal’s Community Platform
  • Communicating with Staff Writers and Editorial team
  • Assist in customer service by guiding customers through proper communication channels
  • Monitor inappropriate and vulgar comments on social network pages
  • Assist with other additional administrative tasks as necessary


  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English or a similar field
  • Excellent written English, including good spelling and grammar
  • Strong competency in Google Chrome operating system and social media platforms
  • Must have a meticulous work ethic, high attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a high quality work standard
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Superior communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate well with others
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Disqus, Spot.IM or similar community engagement platform experience preferred
  • Interest and knowledge in current events, including politics and entertainment
  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings as necessary
  • Understanding of the values and the mission of Liftable Media, Inc. and willing to promote and uphold these both at work and with potential partners, readers, and subscribers
